Will you publish my book?
Possibly! Doughnut Books is happy to consider your completed manuscript submission. Please send your finished work, as well as a brief letter of introduction, to our editorial staff. If we are interested, we will respond.
Can I buy Doughnut Books in bulk?
Yes, we have no limit on the number of copies you can order. Please contact Doughnut Books to place larger orders or if you have needs specific to an event. We are happy to assist.
Doughnut Books offers a special “Baker’s Dozen” discount for book groups and clubs. If you are interested in featuring one of our titles in your group, please contact us for a special discount and book club box.
Do any bookstores carry Doughnut Books?
You can find our books at independent and chain bookstores around the world. You’ll also find Doughnut Books at recovery-related events.
Can you ship my book to a friend who is incarcerated?
Usually, yes. Each facility has its own rules, regulations, or guidelines for books. If you would like us to ship a book to someone who is in prison, jail, on a military base, in treatment, or in a hospital, please provide all the needed information from that institution’s website. We will do our best to ensure that your book makes its way to your intended recipient.
Are you affiliated with the Twelve Step programs, including Alcoholics Anonymous?
No. While we may publish conference-approved literature for some Twelve Step programs, we are not owned or operated by any program or its affiliate. Much of what we publish is not conference-approved.
How do I get my library to carry Doughnut Books?
Most libraries will order a book for you. Ask a librarian or submit a request form through your library’s website. Each of our books has an ISBN number and is available through Ingram, for ease of ordering.
What about issues other than substance use addiction and recovery?
The word “recovery” is broad and describes experiences such as mental health, abuse, trauma, eating disorders, codependency, financial recovery, cluttering, and more. We seek to include a wide selection of titles that offers many perspectives and many types of lived experiences.
